Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in payment industry and deep industry expertise in global payments (ideally from companies such as Global Payments, WorldPay, Fiserv, or similar)
- Proven track record of developing and executing commercial strategies that drive revenue growth
- Strong negotiation and deal closing skills, along with experience working with complex sales cycles
- Experience working closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to optimise the commercial function
- A proactive and adaptable mindset that thrives in a fast moving, high growth and pressurised environment
- Strong communication and relationship building abilities with both internal stakeholders and external partners
What the job involves
- This is a role requiring a blend of strategic vision and operational execution. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across product, marketing, and operations to ensure the operation and commercial function is optimised for growth
- Develop and execute commercial strategies that align with company objectives and market opportunities
- Negotiate complex, high-value deals with merchants and partners, ensuring optimal pricing
- Build and nurture client relationships by understanding their needs, aligning Kody’s products and services with their goals, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
- Work closely with Customer Operations to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing account management for all merchants, optimising customer experience and reducing churn
- Identify market trends and new revenue opportunities, influencing Kody’s vision and business strategy
- Represent the voice of the customer, providing insights to the product and technology teams to drive continuous improvement
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including referral partners and key industry players

Over recent years fintech innovators have been pushing to try and make brick-and-mortar commerce competitively seamless with online shopping. An area of particular focus is payments: how to offer them fast, directly, and hassle-free. KodyPay is one company trying to solve this issue for the hospitality sector.
Kodypay offers hospitality businesses a complete payments solution that aggregates QR, terminal and third party delivery services. By marketing itself as a sole payments provider, KodyPay seeks to displace legacy terminal providers, as well as providing QR web flow products. As such KodyPay offers its customers a simpler and more cost effective means of managing payments.
Sunday, Zapper, Droplet, and FlyPay are among the many companies offering similar services with strong uptake and healthy funding, but KodyPay's all-in-one proposition gives it a vital edge. This is exemplified by healthy Series A funding awarded to KodyPay in 2024 that comes off the back of a reported annualised processing volume nearing $1billion in value.
