Who you are

  • This individual should be confident in their skills to optimize existing programs as well as have an infinite mindset to drive long term program success
  • This individual will be successful if they are results driven, understand the customer journey, pain points, and if they can discover the best content to deliver to the customer at the right time to increase conversion
  • The optimal candidate is an innovative self-starter, impactful in sales-driven organizations and has an appetite for long term program development and team development
  • 10+ years building and leading high-performing channel marketing, business management, or growth product strategy teams. Marketplace experience is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability, and multiple examples, of setting and exceeding KPIs (i.e. leads), driving company revenue
  • Strong management experience of coaching and developing senior individual contributors and managers. Can effectively explain concepts and impact to others
  • Ability to move smoothly between high-level strategy and specific details
  • Demonstrated ability to deconstruct ambiguous growth goals and delegate appropriate KPIs to teams. Highly analytically independent
  • Demonstrated experience effectively partnering and driving to critical decisions with senior leaders and diverse functional/geographic teams to drive outcomes
  • Consistently evaluates opportunities based on business impact and cost, can effectively prioritize based on opportunity size, and drive focus

What the job involves

  • Pacaso is seeking a customer-obsessed marketer to lead the company’s Lifecycle and Cross functional customer journey strategy.
  • This role will own the vision, prioritization and execution of high impact multi-channel lifecycle marketing initiatives.
  • The VP of Growth will work closely with our product, sales and content teams to conceptualize and execute on creating an optimal customer journey designed to drive maximum engagement with the sales funnel and overarching brand experience
  • Develop and Execute Growth Strategy: Design and implement comprehensive growth strategies that drive both short-term and long-term revenue growth across paid and non-paid channels
  • Leverage AI for Personalization: Utilize AI-powered tools to create hyper-targeted marketing campaigns that deliver personalized content, recommendations, and product offers based on customer behavior and preferences
  • Lead SEO Initiatives with Product Stakeholders: Oversee and enhance organic growth through effective SEO strategies, including content optimization, technical SEO
  • Manage Paid Advertising Channels: Own and optimize performance marketing efforts, including paid search, social, display, and other acquisition channels
  • Analyze and Optimize Growth Funnels: In partnership with cross functional partners, continuously monitor and refine customer acquisition funnels, ensuring seamless conversion across all stages
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product, engineering, and sales teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives and product development
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze key performance metrics and use data to drive decisions that maximize ROI and campaign effectiveness
  • Lead A/B Testing and Experimentation: Design and execute A/B tests to optimize creative, targeting, and user experience across all marketing channels
  • Budget Management and Allocation: Manage and allocate marketing budgets effectively across channels to maximize performance and growth
  • Oversee Growth Team: Lead and mentor a team of growth marketers, ensuring alignment with overall marketing and business goals

Our take

Second home ownership has traditionally been a privilege of the wealthy, due to the costs involved to purchase and maintain an additional property. However, the vast majority of the 100 million second homes around the world sit empty 10 to 11 months a year. Seizing this opportunity, Pacaso seeks to give more people a chance at second home ownership with a unique co-ownership model, which allows individuals to purchase fractions of a property, benefit from it as guests and rent it out to generate additional income.

The business has grown exponentially since its founding in October 2020. According to Crunchbase, it's achieved Unicorn status faster than any other company. In its first six months of operation, Pacaso received more than 60,000 requests and assisted 100 purchases.

The founders bring decades of experience in real estate and startups. Rascoff founded Hotwire, Zillow and Recon Food, whilst Allison has worked in the industry since the age of 18, and previously founded Dotloop, a real estate transaction solution.

Having studied Law at the University of Cincinnati, Austin worked as a Real Estate manager for over 9 years before founding dotloop in 2009 and Zillow Group in 2015. He combined his entrepreneurial and real estate experience to co-found Pacaso in February 2020, alongside Board roles at WineSociety and Houwzer.
