Role
Who you are
- Law firm and in-house experience are a must
- 6+ years’ experience with high value and complex outbound customer and channel agreements in a fast paced, agile organization
- Expert knowledge of software and technology licensing transactions
- Team player with strong desire to provide business-focused legal support in connection with technology sales and licensing
- Self-starter and ability to work with limited supervision and direction
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast paced and fluid environment
- Deal focused with a sense of urgency to get things done
What the job involves
- Lead our customer contracting process, identify business and legal risks and escalate issues to the appropriate internal parties
- Draft, review and negotiate customer agreements and provide support to the sales team throughout the contracting process
- Establish strong, positive and collaborative relationships with sales, account management and senior management teams that are open, balanced and objective
- Own and manage customer contract templates and contract library
- Assist in structuring new sales and channel go-to-market models and related contracts
- Develop, conduct and manage training programs for sales, marketing and operations teams to best ensure legal compliance and protection of Plume’s interests in all transactions
- Work under tight deadlines, handle multiple detailed tasks simultaneously, prioritize appropriately and delegate to resources available

Smart devices within the home have become the norm, but Plume Design believes that this influx of revolutionary home tech is only as smart as the networks that support them. With many issues concerning smart devices, treatment is reliant on generic WiFi, unsafe networks, and expensive analysis. Plume Design remedies this with cloud-controlled internet platforms that are defined by the needs of the devices that use them.
With home office setups now the norm, Plume has fast become a necessary service for many small businesses and casual users. Its smart Wi-Fi networks are ground-level products upon which Plume offers more smart home services and it now has more than a billion devices on its network.
With substantial funding behind it, Plume’s post-COVID surge in business was one thing, but keeping up the momentum throughout the 2020s is quite another. Time will tell if the company can continue on its upward trajectory. But as long as it keeps its networks fresh (as it did in 2022 through its partnership with OpenSync software agent SamKnows), it shouldn’t have a problem as it scales up.
