Role
Who you are
- You have several years of experience in software development and preferably knowledge of PHP
- You have expert knowledge of automated testing procedures, especially unit and integration testing
- You are familiar with clean code and domain-driven design principles and have applied them in your daily work
- You not only have experience in test-driven and behavior-driven software development but also in the implementation and maintenance of automation pipelines, preferably GitLab CI/CD or similar
- You have strong communication skills and the ability to share your knowledge with your colleagues

- As a Senior Software Engineer in testing, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the quality of our product
- You'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of our software, working closely with our product teams to embed quality early in the development process
- Champion Test-Driven Development: You will collaborate with our software teams to enhance the testability of their code. Your mission? Foster techniques like test-driven development that ensure our code is not just functional but robust and reliable
- Architectural Quality Advocate: Your keen eye for detail will be instrumental as you analyze our software architecture for quality and testability. You won't stop at observation – you'll actively suggest improvements to make our software even better
- Test Automation and CI/CD Maestro: Automation is your bread and butter. You'll take charge of implementing test automation and CI/CD pipelines that comprehensively validate software quality from all angles
- Test Framework Guru: We'll rely on your expertise to evaluate and implement cutting-edge test frameworks. Your continuous refinement of our test suites will set the gold standard for software quality
- Process Automation Dynamo: You're not just about automating tests – you're all about automating processes. You'll streamline our workflows and support our software teams in staying productive and efficient
- Continuous Learning and Innovation: In the world of software testing, staying current is vital. You'll keep your finger on the pulse of the latest testing techniques and actively propose innovative ideas for improvement.You help our software teams to improve the testability of their code and fostering techniques like test-driven development

The eCommerce boom in recent years has shown no signs of slowing down, and Shopware is capturing the opportunity. The company offers a set of open source tools to power the online shopping experience for hundreds of thousands of brands.
There are of course competitors, like Shopify Plus, but Shopware has stood out for serving mid-market companies that were not digitally-native businesses but had to take on digital channels to keep up with customer demand. This, combined with the obvious increase in brands and companies needing help when eCommerce became more mainstream, has served Shopware particularly well.
Founded in 2000, the company only received its first round of funding in 2022. Until then, it had been profitable off its own back. This capital and support from, among others, Carlyle and PayPal will be invested in its international growth.
