Role
Who you are
- We are looking for a skilled and passionate Engineering Manager to join our team in the Amsterdam office
- At least 3 years of experience leading and managing a team (systematic 101s, feedback sessions, performance reviews, professional development etc.)
- At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work effectively in an ever-changing scale-up environment
- BS or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience with some of the following technologies: Python,C#, React, JavaScript, ASP.NET Core, Microsoft Azure, MongoDB, Git
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Passionate about high-quality coding standards and testing of code
- A collaborative approach, being open to helping team members
- Proactive mindset and excellent project and time management skills
What the job involves
- With 500,000 auditors across the globe using our tool daily, we are constantly working on product improvements and leveraging opportunities to scale further
- In this role, you will lead a team of ML engineers and Senior Software Engineers who are working on innovative, brand-new AI features that empower our products and bring delight and automation to our customers
- Lead a team of smart and highly motivated Software Engineers
- Actively work on the career growth of your team while setting clear objectives and addressing performance issues if they arise
- Design and build software architecture to support features that are being built
- Ensure timely delivery of our roadmap while improving the reliability of the team
- Improve efficiency and sustainability of the processes we have
- Coaching and mentoring team members around technical aspects of their jobs
- Guide and help the team through technical issues and challenges
- Support our company’s operations by teaming up with your product colleagues to build a clear product roadmap
- Team up with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure to building solutions that add customer value

Our take
With data having become a commodity in and of itself, infrastructure must be enforced so as to validate and contextualize it. Datasnipper does just that with its automated data validation platform for auditors.
Repetitive manual work in auditing means decreased efficiency and slower results. Auditors must reconcile data by cross-referencing it with that of older systems, verifying this data with documentation such as invoices, bank statements and previous contracts. Datasnipper’s platform uses intelligent automation that translates these documents directly into Excel spreadsheets, helping auditors make informed decisions at a faster rate.
Initially launched from Bootstrap, Datasnipper has successfully raised to Series B and has had a strong 2024. It doubled its revenue and customer base and reached Unicorn Status, indicating the auditing industry’s embrace of AI as a tool.
