Role
Who you are
- You have an extensive experience in Platform Engineering and DevOps
- You are fluent in at least one programming language such as Go, Python or JavaScript
- You have solid understanding of Kubernetes and GitOps
- You have solid working knowledge of CI/CD tools (preferably Github actions)
- You know your way around Terraform and have previously adopted IaC to provision resources on the cloud
- You have a very good knowledge of observability (metrics, events, logs and tracing) and can create dashboards/alerts on Grafana
- You are passionate about improving developer experience/efficiency/productivity
- You have a strong desire to automate / enable self-service
What the job involves
- As a member of the Developer Experience Team, you will be responsible for the delivery process and the overall developer experience
- You will be building solutions, tools, and processes that enable other engineers at Ultimate to succeed
- You will balance factors such as process stability, artifact veracity and developer cognitive load
- Optimize the process of code delivery at Ultimate ensuring that every engineer is delivering their best work quickly
- Learn from our tech retrospectives and create tooling and process change to help developers unblock themselves and improve delivery quality
- Streamline the engineering onboarding process via automation and handbook first approach
- Measure key metrics of the delivery pipeline and developer experience
- Ensure services consumed by product teams are usable, find-able and credible
- Mentor other engineers, support the technical culture, and help grow the team
