RiskIQ is a digital threat management system. While some platforms focus on internal threats, RiskIQ’s purpose is to detect threats and potential weaknesses across all digital surfaces. Internal and external systems as well as third party packages and apps are monitored for digital attacks, with intelligent risk assessment. Extending threat management beyond the firewall makes RiskIQ creates an all-encompassing solution for cybersecurity.
The company was recently acquired by Microsoft for more than $500M with its product now being part of Microsoft's security solutions. There is competition in this market, from the likes of Digital Shadows and FireEye, but the acquisition by Microsoft and the addition of National Grid Partners as a strategic partner certainly helps to give RiskIQ credibility. Indeed, over 6000 companies use the RiskIQ platform, with an impressive client list that includes Facebook, BMW and American Express.
