Who you are
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Bar Admission: Active membership in good standing with a state bar
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on transactions, contracts, FDA regulatory matters, and privacy
- Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
- Will have a strong commitment to the Kate Farms mission and values
- Is able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment

What the job involves
- The Corporate Counsel role involves drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, ensuring FDA regulatory compliance, advising on privacy and data protection, conducting legal research, and managing legal risks
- Transactional and Contractual Support: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supply, distribution, and partnership contracts
- Regulatory Compliance: Provide legal guidance on FDA regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Privacy and Data Protection: Advise on privacy issues and data protection laws, and, to ensure the company's practices align with legal requirements
- Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support business operations and strategic initiatives
- Collaboration and Communication: Update senior lawyers within the department on legal developments and report directly to the Senior Corporate Counsel
- Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the protection of the company's interests
- This position will work in a corporate office with the potential flexibility of working from a home/office environment part of the week
