Role
Who you are
- 1-2 years of professional software development experience (or equivalent via internships / strong personal projects)
- Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern frontend framework (Vue, React or Angular)
- Some experience with C# or another strongly-typed backend language
- A good understanding of how APIs work (REST, HTTP fundamentals)
- Experience with git and version control workflows
- Exposure to relational databases and SQL
- Experience with or willingness to learn unit testing practices
- A curious mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies
- You must be ready to work in a fast paced, high growth environment, with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly
Desirable
- Experience with Vue 3 and the Composition API
- Familiarity with a component library such as Vuetify
- Exposure to .NET or Entity Framework Core
- Experience with any cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Familiarity with Docker or containerisation concepts
- A Computer Science degree or equivalent qualification
What the job involves
- This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to learn and grow as a developer
- You will work across both the frontend and backend, contributing to real features used by some of the world's largest accountancy firms and financial institutions
- Work across both our Vue 3 frontend and .NET 8 backend, building and maintaining features end-to-end
- Learn and contribute to backend services with a focus on reliability and scalability
- Collaborate closely with senior developers, submitting and reviewing PRs on a daily basis
- Write clean, well-tested code following established patterns and engineering practices
- Investigate and fix bugs across the full stack
- Grow your understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and deployment processes
