Role
Who you are
- Passionate about 3D deep learning, geometry processing, and computer vision as well as mentoring more junior engineers
- Excited to share knowledge and expertise with other members of the team
- 3+ years of professional experience developing Machine Learning models and applications using Python and PyTorch
- Experience using C++ and geometry processing libraries
- Experience working with AWS
- Experience building applications that run parallel processes across multiple NVIDIA GPUs
- Familiar working as part of a team within an Agile Development Methodology and Scrum Framework
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
- Experience with Git version control as part of a team
- Familiarity with relevant ISO standards e.g. ISO 27001
What the job involves
- Working with the CTO and Product Owner to develop the product roadmap
- Mentoring and acting as a role model for more junior engineers
- Leading development and optimisation of machine learning models and applications using mainly Python and sometimes C++
- Contributing code as part of a broader machine learning team using Git
- Writing tests and technical documentation for your code
- Collaborating with other team members to troubleshoot and solve bugs and problems
- Understanding model performance using profiling tools and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Designing solutions from the ground up from research insights, and developing technical specifications

Our take
Digital 3D assets are nowadays used everywhere: from video games, movies, eCommerce, product design, architecture, military, and the list goes on. However, there is a big problem. Although demand is huge and rising, supply is limited and highly manual. This is largely because digital 3D asset creation is a manual, time-consuming process. 3D artists are highly skilled people who spend years learning the steep learning curve software that allows them to create 3D content.
This is the problem Kaedim is setting out to solve. The company is building ML algorithms that turn 2D images, art and sketches into 3D models automatically. It is focused on the applications of the technology for games and has developed a web app and an API on top of its core algorithms.
With recent funding, Kaedim is ready to supercharge its AI-powered 3D tools and expand its marketplace. By empowering creators to streamline the 3D content creation process, the company is set to shape the future of industries like gaming, eCommerce, and AR/VR - much like DALL-E transformed 2D image generation. Its an exciting time for the company, and it's one to definitely keep an eye on.
