Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience supporting C-level executives, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment
- Experience coordinating with other Personal or Executive Assistants
- Strong judgement
- Ability to be flexible and work quickly with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, communication, and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated ability to stay calm and effective in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
- Tech-savvy and fluent in Slack, Google Workspace, and Zoom

What the job involves
- Mill is seeking an experienced, highly-organized, and proactive Executive Assistant (EA) to support our CEO on a contract basis from mid-February to early July 2026
- This is a temporary role designed to provide seamless executive support during a critical stretch of company activity
- You’ll be responsible for managing the CEO’s schedule with precision and professionalism—ensuring their time and focus align with the company’s highest priorities while balancing key external commitments
- You’ll collaborate closely with the CEO’s Family Assistant and, when relevant, their family office to ensure smooth coordination across professional and personal engagements
- This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-moving climate innovation startup, supporting a mission-driven leader who values energy, humility, and excellence
- Reports to: CEO
- Manage the CEO’s schedule with rigor and foresight, prioritizing time and engagements that advance company and strategic objectives, in partnership with the President’s EA
- Partner with the CEO’s Family Assistant to the Family Office and personal commitments
- Anticipate needs and proactively ensure the CEO’s time, meetings, and travel are optimized
- Plan and coordinate executive meetings, internal events, and complex travel arrangements
- Maintain a polished and professional presence
- Represent the CEO’s positive and professional presence in person—whether in-office, at home, or at events
- Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion
- Contract Duration: mid-Feb – July
Our take
Wasted food and its decomposition do more for CO2 emissions globally than the entire airline industry combined. Whilst food waste bins run by local councils in the US do redirect the majority of food waste to recycling plants, there are still holes to plug, which is exactly what Mill is doing.
For a yearly subscription, customers can buy and use a combined waste tracking and impact app alongside the company’s purpose-made food waste bin. Unlike other bins for food waste, Mill’s product shrinks and dehydrates waste so that there’s no smell or runoff. Mill will dispose of your waste themselves, and use it for sustainable chicken feed.
With a number of high profile environmentally-friendly investors behind them, the Mill ecosystem has a range of benefits for company subscribers as well as individuals. Restaurants and offices can subscribe to Mill and help to move towards sustainability goals, whilst partnerships with local farms provide a solid revenue structure.
Mill is only available in the US, but since its successful first-gen launch in 2023, it has been using funding from that year to enhance its product offering and reach a wider market.
