Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
- CPA or equivalent professional qualification
- 10 years of experience in Controllership, Finance, public accounting, or high-tech organizations
- Experience with US GAAP, particularly related to business recognition under ASC 606
Desirable
- Experience in Google sheets, PLX, data analysis, SQL, or equivalent
- Ability to work independently, articulate technical accounting guidance to non-technical audiences, and conduct technical accounting research and document findings
- Ability to work with executive management and influence decision making
- Collaborative style and ability to work with cross-functional and international teams at all levels
- Excellent work ethic, exceed in a fast-paced environment, and be adaptable to changing responsibilities and priorities
What the job involves
- You'll lead an accounting process from end-to-end. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports
- In this role, you will drive cross-finance collaboration and partnership, strive for consistency, implement new processes, and continuously look to improve existing processes
- Design and set up enterprise ready processes to drive change through efficiency and scalability
- Provide visibility to leadership on strategic agreements
- Drive automation/digitization opportunities to accelerate digital transformation
- Lead training content and programs and lead Training sessions to empower cross-functional partners
- Review and approve Google Cloud agreements, ensuring appropriate business recognition in accordance with ASC 606
