Role
Who you are
- Experience with creative software such as Adobe and/or Canva
- Experience with a CRM tool such as HubSpot, Salesforce or Sharpspring
- Experience with a social media scheduling tool such as Hootsuite, Later or Facebook Creator Studio
- Proficient in Microsoft suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint
- Attention to detail with data, copywriting and creative assets
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously

What the job involves
- We are looking for a talented Marketing Manager to join our UKSPF Programme Team
- The purpose of this role is delivering the marketing plan to attract start-ups and SMEs to the UKSPF programme
- You will play a crucial role in helping us to showcase the impact of our programmes and allow us to attract the best and most exciting businesses
- Create and deliver a marketing plan of activities in line with the Programme Manager's objectives to attract innovative companies onto the programmes
- Generating marketing content including digital and print assets. Working with agencies, designers and videographers
- Using marketing channels and tactics to recruit startups and SMEs onto the programme. Reporting back and sharing insights to the Programme Team
- Creating and tracking newsletters and email campaigns in the CRM system
- Copywriting for both online and offline marketing assets, including newsletters, social media posts, award entries, blog posts, case studies
- Coordinating online and offline events including all digital marketing assets, promotion and assisting with logistics
- Collating marketing reports as required by UKSPF
- Working with the Programme Team to identify case studies and success stories to be used for future marketing and impact reporting
- Working with our Digital Marketing Manager to create paid ad campaigns, including market research, copy writing and creating visual assets
- Key stakeholders – Plus X’s Programme and Marketing Teams, as well as a range of external partners, supporting the delivery of our programmes
- Reports to Head of Marketing with a dotted line to the UKSPF Programme Manager
- There will be an expectation to work 50% of your hours in one of our innovation hubs
Salary benchmarks
Our take
On the face of it, Plus X is entering a crowded market. Co-working spaces - a novelty five or six years ago - are now commonplace across the United Kingdom.
However, Plus X are offering a radically different service. Where WeWork offers square foot and ‘vibes’, Plus X is offering services normally inaccessible to small businesses. Think CNC cutters, 3D printers, a podcast studio and a VR filming space. The goal for Plus X is to expand beyond its home of Brighton to major regional towns and cities across the UK through acquisition of sites and special agreements with landlords.
The company has managed to create a truly unique offering in its Brighton Hub, its "Central Research Laboratory" in Hayes, and a Plus X Innovation Lab in Slough. Each is situated in a key commuter hub outside of London and brings a unique offering. With more workspaces in the pipeline, it will be interesting to see if Plus X can replicate its multifaceted successes so far across the rest of the country.
