Who you are
- Demonstrated success as a product manager at fast-growing companies
- Previous experience working on infrastructure products at high scale. Expertise in compute and networking is a plus
- Strong product sense and ability to collaborate and get buy-in from stakeholders while setting a long term vision
- Strong analytical skills to define product strategy and drive decision making, making appropriate trade-offs based on data analysis and qualitative feedback from users
- Strong technical breadth and judgment — ability to quickly ramp up and go deep on a range of technologies, ability to identify technical risks and tradeoffs
- Proven ability to lead in ambiguous environments, aligning across functions, teams, and orgs to deliver on time in a highly collaborative environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with clear communication of complex topics
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, organizational awareness, and ability to persuade others to accomplish program objectives while holding yourself and your team to a high standard of accountability
- The role demands a blend of technical expertise, industry analysis, and stakeholder management to drive innovation and efficiency in the compute infrastructure and efficiency landscape
What the job involves
- A Senior Product Manager in the Infrastructure organization supporting the compute domain plays a pivotal role in crafting and executing strategic roadmaps for scalable and efficient compute solutions.
- This position requires collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and fulfill customer needs while ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and industry trends.
- Chart out an exciting vision for where our Infrastructure platform is headed, ensuring it effectively supports Pinterest's growth, scalability, cost efficiency and performance
- Develop and execute a cohesive strategy for Infrastructure applications in close partnership with Engineering, Design, Executive, and other cross functional stakeholders
- Deeply understand our users and identify where the biggest gaps are in meeting their needs
- Build innovative features and processes applying technology and processes
- Build a strong culture of rapid learning, and execution within Infrastructure, ultimately driving Pinterest-level growth
- Work cross functionally with a wide range of partner disciplines, eg. engineering, design
- Mentor peer product managers in Infrastructure, building their skills and domain knowledge as they continue to grow their careers in product management

Pinterest has not been immune to woes affecting the global tech sector and made about 5% of its workforce redundant at the end of 2022 and the start of 2023. Having restructured to face a challenging climate, it is well-positioned to resume its growth, which has increased consistently year on year. Its immediate goals are to continue to grow its user base and expand the uptake of its short video product, which it aims to monetize.
