To be the most trusted digital dealer for all things heavy equipment.
The traditional methods of selling heavy equipment (local auction, 1:1 relationships and Craigslist) are rife with poor pricing practices, inefficiency in order fulfilment and trust issues. Boom & Bucket is bringing transparent marketplace dynamics to this industry.
The price point of heavy machinery is high - tens of thousands of dollars at least. This has driven Boom & Bucket’s approach. It conducts full inspections, produces videos to help display and market the machinery it sells, and aggregates telematics data to improve trust in its listed products. The startup also offers financing options for buyers, both growing the market and providing another revenue stream.
Boom & Bucket's main goals for its next stage of growth are to develop the core platform while expanding its customer base. Moreover, the startup is investing in developing partnerships with large sellers on the supply side with an aim to increase its inventory.
Its tight, customer focused approach will be important, especially since setting up a marketplace with returning users is extremely difficult in an industry typified by a low volume of orders and long product lifecycles.
