Who you are

Minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration
Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware, Azure, or AWS
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
Experience with scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python, is a plus
Experience with security best practices and compliance frameworks, such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or PCI, is a plus
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment

What the job involves

The Senior System Admin will be responsible for maintaining and managing our virtual infrastructure, monitoring and maintaining network performance, ensuring system availability and reliability, and performing routine maintenance tasks
Manage and maintain virtual infrastructure, including VMware, Azure or AWS environments
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
Configure and maintain network devices, such as load balancers and firewalls
Ensure system availability and reliability by monitoring system resources and performing routine maintenance tasks, such as backups and updates
Work with other teams to identify and resolve issues related to network connectivity, security, and performance
Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure that systems meet the needs of the organization
Maintain documentation and provide training to other members of the team as needed

Born out of the Alipne SG Group, Actabl is the hospitality industry’s first and only integrated business intelligence, labor management and hotel operations solution platform. The company, despite a relatively new venture, has operations in over 18 countries and across over 30 U.S states.

Moving forward, Actabl is focused on developing its product. They recently completed a two-way integration between its ALICE operations-management platform with the Maestro property-management system in order to improve the accuracy and consistency of the data used by both systems and, ultimately, improving efficiency in hotel operations.
