Lead Frontend Engineer, Oakbrook Finance

• You'll have previous industry experience
• You'll have advanced experience with Javascript / Typescript
• Expert ability with React framework, or other SPAs (Angular, Vue etc)
• Knowledge of frontend unit testing (Jest, React Testing library)
• In depth understanding of cross-browser, and mobile debugging with excellent troubleshooting skills
• Ability to stay current with technology, whether through reading, meet-ups, blogs, home projects or contribution to open-source
• You'll naturally collaborate well in a team environment
• Be passionate about continuous improvement
• Have a willingness to learn and grown, and support others to do the same
• Have the confidence to speak in front of people and produce useful and concise documentation as necessary
• Show a desire to learn new techniques and trends and apply them within our business context

Desirable

• Writing code, tests and associated documentation that meet the requirements of the user story and observe good coding practices
• Analysing best technology to address specific business / customer needs and implement these
• Contributing to the team knowledge base on matters such as coding styles, practices, tooling, technology developments and software engineering methodology
• Working closely with the wider business particularly Marketing and our New Business lines to provide technical solutions to business and customer needs
• Being the point of contact for any frontend design considerations – able to work with UX/UI and PO’s to turn their visions into web design
• Ensuring software is to the quality and standards agreed in chapter meetings
• Being an SME on your product
• Working with your team members, Product Owner, architects, QA manager and others to ensure that user stories are fit for development and actively contributing to all aspects of Squad Delivery
