Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of experience in client onboarding or implementation within capital markets or financial technology
- Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to lead stakeholders through structured implementation processes
- Experience working with institutional trading systems, market connectivity, or financial infrastructure
- Working knowledge of SQL and command line environments
- Familiarity with configuration management, source control, and basic scripting (Python preferred)
- Exposure to FIX protocol, REST APIs, and JSON-based integrations
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent implementations
Desirable
- Experience onboarding clients to trading, OMS, EMS, or portfolio systems
- Understanding of capital markets workflows and electronic trading infrastructure
- Experience coordinating integrations across exchanges, liquidity providers, or institutional counterparties
What the job involves
- Talos is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to lead technical implementations and connectivity integrations for institutional clients and trading counterparties
- This role sits at the intersection of client services and technical integration
- You will manage end-to-end onboarding of exchanges, liquidity providers, and institutional clients onto the Talos platform, ensuring seamless connectivity and successful deployment of our trading infrastructure
- This is not a production support role
- It is an implementation-focused position requiring structured project execution, technical fluency, and proactive client leadership
- Own the end-to-end onboarding process for clients and trading counterparties, from kickoff through successful production deployment
- Lead technical integrations involving APIs, FIX connectivity, and platform configuration
- Partner with Sales, Account Management, Engineering, and external stakeholders to deliver implementations on schedule
- Manage onboarding timelines, track milestones, and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders
- Configure and validate client environments across Talos’ modular trading and portfolio systems
- Troubleshoot integration issues and coordinate resolution with internal engineering teams
- Develop and maintain onboarding documentation and integration best practices

So far, the increasing institutional interest in the value of crypto-assets has been stymied by a lack of scaled, efficient, and secure infrastructure that these institutions could use for trade. Talos addresses the problem of digital asset trading between institutions, helping them to securely sidestep these obstacles into a fresh market with potentially huge returns.
The company provides a range of end-to-end, highly configurable tools to populate and facilitate the institutional crypto-asset market from just one platform. Talos' approach is helping to lower the bar for wide-ranging adoption of cryptocurrency, supporting the full lifespan of digital assets trading. That said, because the company is developing an entirely new asset class market, progress is accelerated, and competition may have a chance to overtake.
Promising for Talos was the interest of prominent investors, including PayPal and Fidelity, during their Series A and B funding rounds. The funds were used to create an institutional-grade service that would help shape and spearhead this developing market. More recently, the company has formed several significant partnerships, including with BlackRock, and acquired D3X Systems, the integration of which will enable its clients to design, validate, implement, and manage highly customised portfolios.
