Who you are
- Experience in Technical Program Management in SaaS software companies with 8+ years of experience
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience & skillset
- Experience with AI, Machine Learning, Data Pipeline, or Process Mining is a bonus
- You can derive status, key risks, and can synthesize information, drive clarity and accurately communicate program status, issues, dependencies & risks to leadership & other program stakeholders beyond Product & Engineering
- You can lead & independently own strategic programs, across different domains and multiple engineering departments
- You can explain your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers
- You have excellent problem-solving ability & value teamwork & multitasking
- You can find practical & simple solutions to complicated problems without sacrificing quality
- You are a natural leader, you bring calm to chaos and you’ve learned industry standards and can help bring those experiences to more junior people to help reduce toil
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit, are self-sufficient & able to operate in a fluid, ambiguous environment
- Design plans to manage highly ambiguous programs in partnership with Senior Management
- Proactively address risks, dependencies, trade-offs, escalation, or technical constraints for timely mitigation and resolution
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple teams with competing priorities
What the job involves
- TPM you are driving cross-functional programs by closely working together with Engineering, Product, Design, QA (and beyond) to get things done, drive towards clarity, serve as a communication bridge whilst removing ambiguity and complexity
- You bring the ability to influence, agile expertise, technical proficiency and thought leadership
- You’ll have the opportunity to be a part of our Technical Program Management Team which sits within the Celonis Engineering Organization
- You will be working with a cross-functional team driving engineering programs in the area of Data, Data Pipelines, Query Engine across the ETL Stack
- Explosive growth is very exciting but also requires seasoned people to help pave the way with experience to scale
- Reporting to the Global TPM Lead, we are looking for someone with a passion for technology, data, and program management excellence
- Lead multidisciplinary cross-functional engineering programs in the area of Data, Data Pipelines, Query Engine across the ETL Stack and across with AI, Process Mining, or Platform
- Lead, influence, align and coach strategic and tactical situations
- Break down the programs into projects and coordinate across functional areas in order to deliver on the program deliverables
- Leverage technical acumen to understand and contribute to Engineering Design Documents (especially with a focus on dependencies) and understand and translate (if applicable) the PRDs into engineering working packages
- Present and advocate complex business and technical concepts with Engineering Leadership and Executive Management
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups and to different stakeholders
- Manage risk, communication & monitor, project schedule, review project progress and timelines; and identify and resolve issues to ensure project success
- Propose the best course of action and optimal solutions for the target architecture
- Program Management across its entire lifecycle
- Contribution & management of technical discussions and strategic decision-making
- Decipher technical needs of other departments within the organization
Our take
Celonis started out in an obscure niche which the company called process mining. Its first product was created to scan data logs for its clients and map out their processes in its entirety - inefficiencies and all. Celonis' product was in essence, to be considered a replacement for costly consultants and quants.
The company has since branched out into an even more niche area that plays on the strength of its products and proprietary technology - such as execution management solutions. Celonis' product found significant uptake across industries like supply chain, manufacturing, and business intelligence which quickly amassed it a wealth of enterprise customers and hundreds of millions of dollars in recurring revenue.
Celonis is king in its industry as it was founded just as data-heavy enterprise operations sky-rocketed. Now, the company is backed by hefty funding and impressive advisors across several industries, still seeing increased investment despite the venture capital market is experiencing a slowdown. Celonis has shown impressive foresight and innovation as a company and will continue to eat the fruits of those labour for many years to come.
