Who you are
- You are versatile, experienced in handling a wide range of administrative tasks and able to work independently with little supervision

- Experience: 2+ years of office management, operations, or administrative experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a scale-up or startup

What the job involves
- As our Office Assistant, you will be the backbone of our operations for our Paris (Bercy) office, ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes
- You’ll manage office administration, facilities, and supplier relationships globally while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment that is uniquely Shift
- As the first Shifter our customers, candidates, and employees see daily, you bring a positive and professional sense of hospitality
- While no two days are the same, you are also organized, disciplined and resourceful to make sure nothing slips through the cracks
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the office, ensuring a well-organized, clean, and efficient workspace
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships (e.g., cleaning, shipping, security)
- Liaise with building management and external contractors for maintenance and office improvements
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures to improve efficiency
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage office budgets, track expenses, and handle invoices related to office operations
- Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with key service providers
- Serve as the first point of contact for office-related needs of Shifters worldwide
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees, including equipment logistics, onboarding meeting invitations and coordination, and ensuring the new joiners welcome is smooth
- Collaborate with teams to help organize company events, team-building activities, and celebrations to maintain a strong company culture
- Assist executives with administrative tasks, scheduling, and travel arrangements as needed
- Support operational projects that improve overall efficiency and scalability

The global insurtech market is projected to grow substantially given the increased demand for insurance service digitisation, projected market expansion, and developments in technology that have made it easier to buy and process claims. Insurtech helps create new avenues that large insurance companies have less incentive to pursue, such as offering social insurance and customised policies for clients.
In January 2021, Shift Technology introduced the Shift Insurance Suite to help the insurance industry apply AI-based decision automation and optimisation technology solutions. This addresses critical processes across the insurance policy lifecycle, as well as helps insurers to achieve faster, more accurate claims and policy resolutions.
Shift Technology is focusing on continuous deployment in the UK and the US, whilst exploring opportunities in Singapore, as it attempts to become an international player in the market. However, it must stave off a number of major competitors to do so, including Quantemplate, Slice and Neos.
