Who you are
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or SQL) and version control systems (e.g., Github)
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex systems and identify areas for optimization
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail, particularly in code quality and application performance
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to team members and stakeholders
- Interest in Finance: A foundational understanding of financial markets and trading processes is beneficial
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or MBA degree with a graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027
- Be available full-time and in-person for 40 hours per week
- Must be available from Monday, June 2, 2025 to Friday, August 15, 2025
What the job involves
- Post Trade Engineering focuses on managing the processes that occur after trades are executed
- This team is vital for ensuring trades are confirmed, settled, and reconciled accurately and efficiently while minimizing risks and enhancing the overall trading experience for clients
- This is achieved through developing Java applications within a robust, high-availability, and scalable environment
- Enhance the functionality of existing applications
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement best practices in coding standards and software design
- Monitor CI/CD processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise, ensuring that code changes integrate smoothly into the main codebase
- Create and update technical documentation for codebases, deployment processes, and system architectures
- Document best practices, troubleshooting guides, and user manuals to assist team members and future developers
- Support the development of automated test cases for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing of applications
- Participate in manual testing efforts to validate new features and bug fixes
- Assist in monitoring application performance and reliability using various monitoring tools, identifying areas for improvement
