What the job involves
- Axiom, a pioneer in the legal industry and a leading, global provider of technology-enabled legal solutions, is seeking a Team Coordinator to join our team in Chicago to optimize our office culture and provide admin support to our executive team
- We are in search of a dynamic individual to take the reins and keep our team functioning like a well-oiled machine

- Our team coordinator is a shapeshifter that dives into a dozen different roles a day and is a creative and forward-thinking team member
- Specifically, this role will manage daily in-person and remote administrative activities for the office
- Being our on-point office manager expert in our ever-evolving hybrid model - managing vendors, stocking office and kitchen supplies, and maintaining the office and kitchen to high standards
- Supporting the wider Talent Axiom team with scheduling, correspondence, mail, invoices, expenses, analytical support, etc
- Liaise with other global Team Coordinators to plan and manage companywide celebrations and recognitions
- Creating and assisting in the execution of internal events for team-building purposes
- Provide support to executives including but not limited to, calendar management, meeting coordinating and expense management

Traditionally, law firms were the dominant providers in the legal industry and their hierarchical partnership structure was a major obstacle for anyone trying to overcome that prevailing model. Axiom's founder saw an opportunity to reconfigure legal delivery and set out to construct a law company to respond to the growing misalignment between firm lawyers and equity partners as well as firms and clients. Axiom has recruited lawyers from top firms while cutting most traditional extra costs, enabling it to offer high-quality services at a much lower price than the wider legal industry.
Axiom received its first funding round in 2000, raising $5.4 million, and three subsequent funding rounds have followed. These investments fueled expansion over time and enabled the company to invest in technology, a talented workforce, and a strong senior management bench. Going forward, Axiom will keep expanding its legal professional talent offering and it will likely maintain its focus on tech, as exemplified by its acquisition of legal tech firm Plexus Engage in 2022.
