Role
Who you are
- Master’s degree in IT (or comparable area) is required
- Experience in a similar function is required
- At least 10 years of proven experience in leadership and management (such as project management, mentoring/coaching, formal management, etc.) is required
- Experience in leadership and management in an agile context (such as Product Owner, Scrum Master, agile contracting and budgeting, etc.) is an important plus
- Professional IT certifications (such as CGEIT, CISA, CRISC, CISM, AWS certifications, Microsoft certifications, ITIL, etc.) are a plus
- Ability to lead, influence, and motivate others to achieve a common goal
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strategic and analytical decision making
- Ability to work with multiple deadlines and various stakeholders under pressure
- Highly motivated and constantly aiming to improve
- Start-up mindset; comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment and “get your hands dirty”
What the job involves
- As Head of IT, you’ll be in charge of Companjon’s entire IT landscape, from our customer solutions to our office infrastructure
- You will lead change projects to help us scale, and you’ll oversee and improve daily operations
- You’ll work closely with Companjon’s C-level executives and functional peers, as well as numerous external vendors, and you’ll lead and develop your team
- You will own the disciplines: IT Strategy, IT Operations, Information Security, Tech vendor management, IT Risk, as IT Governance and Compliance
- Shape our IT platform architecture and roadmap
- Drive strategic IT planning, governance, portfolio- and risk management, and operations, and establish new approaches and processes where needed
- Define and implement / support key change projects
- Lead and develop Companjon’s IT team
- Manage our Tech vendors in a cloud-based highly outsourced set-up
- Provide technical and functional leadership to the wider Companjon team

It's EDI (event-driven interactions) model has already proven hugely successful in Asia, and as one of the early businesses to bring this into the Western markets, Companjon will have a big head start.
Having been named Europe's 'Insurtech Company of the Year' for 2022, its success is clear and its reputation is strong. Companjon's current priority is to capitalise on this momentum and continue propelling its growth in the sector. If the company continues to invest in the platform and make strategic expansion moves - such as a partnership with competitor bunq in February 2023 - it should continue on its streak of success.
