What the job involves

Become our first platform engineer and help us build an unusual, globally distributed, real-time sync & storage infrastructure for jazz.tools
Coordinate closely with software engineers to maximise perf and reliability through both software and infra
Help us deploy, scale & maintain Jazz Cloud as well as custom deployments for adopters with custom needs
Work with a team of excellent engineers and a technical founder in a fully remote, 90% async setting

Our take

Garden Computing delivers products to make computers work better for people. Through its three products - jazz, garden and landscape - the company aims to supply better ways to build collaborative apps, take notes and run complex simulations.

Currently, jazz is the only one of these three projects that is live - with garden and landscape planned to release in the coming years. This first product is an open-source toolkit that replaces APIs, databases and message queues with a single new abstraction.

The company's proposition is certainly interesting. Though we will have to wait and see how its roadmap plays out in reality. For now, Garden Computing is one to watch, and we are excited to see how its offering develops into the future.
