Who you are

  • 3+ years of proven experience in generating new business SaaS sales within the enterprise market
  • Strong understanding of online video, livestreaming, payment, analytics, and related technology
  • Solid sales foundation built on formal sales training and practical experience
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, time management, organizational, and presentation skills
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and scaling environment
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to operate with a sense of urgency
  • Strong sense of accountability and commitment to achieving goals
  • Fluency in English and French is essential; Additional proficiency in Flemish/Dutch is desirable

What the job involves

  • As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will be a pivotal revenue generator, responsible for driving the adoption of Vimeo Enterprise (https://vimeo.com/enterprise) within large enterprise accounts.
  • This is a quota-carrying role requiring a strategic hunter mentality, combining effective inbound lead conversion with proactive outbound prospecting. You will act as a trusted advisor, understanding complex client needs and delivering tailored video solutions
  • Exceed quarterly and annual sales quota targets by strategically selling Vimeo Enterprise
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to penetrate and expand within enterprise accounts
  • Convey Vimeo's unique value proposition and effectively address client objections
  • Collaborate directly with leading brands and media companies to solve their online video challenges
  • Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client business goals and aligning Vimeo Enterprise solutions
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and pipeline within Salesforce.com
  • Actively manage leads pipeline and campaigns to achieve sales objectives
  • Conduct compelling demonstrations of Vimeo Enterprise product capabilities
  • Support the RFI/RFP process by providing thorough and accurate responses to business requirements

Our take

Vimeo was founded by filmmakers who wanted an efficient way to share videos with others. It is more creator-oriented than YouTube, with professional software, technology, and tools for creators to produce, share, and sell their videos.

In 2007, it became the first online video sharing site to support HD playback for consumers, updating to 4K playback in 2016. Vimeo's app has also been updated to allow recording and live streaming as well as watching video. This service is aimed predominantly at enterprise customers although they have millions of small-time users too.

Vimeo has risen to become the world's biggest ad-free open video platform, with significant funding that has allowed it to expand operations and build up the business. Recently, however, the company has found itself struck by the effects of the economic downturn felt by much of the industry, and has been forced to reduce its workforce - a step taken to ensure it comes out of this rough time "a stronger company". On top of this, it received a hefty fine for failure to remove copyrighted content back in 2019, after losing an appeal against the initial ruling.

In 2024, Vimeo is rumoured to be in the process of acquisition by leading mobile app developer Bending Spoons, which could signify a major shift in the tech landscape.
