Role
Who you are
- 2+ years experience in accountancy (degree in accounting a plus)
- Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills (IF, Vlookup, etc)
- Proficient communicating in English (written and verbal)
- Meticulous attention to detail with the superb organizational & analytical skills
- Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and solve difficult problems
- Comfortable working with different currencies
- Experience with A3 accounting program is a plus
- Extremely organized - everything is planned, has a place, and happens on time
- Open to performing a variety of administrative tasks and eager to learn
- Personable and can easily work across multiple teams
- Efficient, and able to prioritize multiple tasks
- Analytical and hypothesis-driven – always asking why and gathering the data required to figure it out

- Collections account (43-44) reconcile to zero
- Disbursement Account (40-41) reconcile to zero
- Make weekly payments (support)
- Download payment platform reports, make summary table and accounting
- Accounts Payable
- Review accounts payable (state balance)
- Control Document AP
- Accounting
- Claim pending invoices
- Claim debt certificates
- Control and monitoring customer and supplier conditions agreements
- Accounts Receivable
- Review accounts receivables & claim charges
- Make invoices in pdf to subscribers who request it
- A3 accounting management

Our take
Birchbox is a subscription-based beauty company that sends subscribers samples of four to six hand-picked hair, make-up and skincare products. This allows customers to trial products without committing to an expensive full-sized version.
While Birchbox may have pioneered the subscription service of beauty samples back in 2010, the company is changing its focus to include the healthcare space at large following its acquistion by FemTec Health.
FemTec Health was founded in 2020 and launched publicly in 2021, with the aim of transforming healthcare for women using tech and data. For Birchbox, that means a broader assortment of products than its core offering and an emphasis on personalization. According to FemTec, the vision is to include things like topical beauty and ingestible beauty, as well as other potential links to wellness, while still allowing for a product discovery experience.
