Who you are
- Our ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, a love for digital products, and be an eager teammate willing to help out and learn. The Summer Product Marketing Literacy Intern should also be passionate about education and building phenomenal products
- Active enrollment as a College Student
- Available for 6 - 8 weeks during the summer (full-time weekly schedule)
- Excellent research skills with the ability to dig into competitor offerings and industry reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, specifically the ability to explain complex ideas simply
- The ability to work independently on research projects and present data-driven insights
- A curiosity for the EdTech industry and a desire to understand the strategic "why" behind a products success

What the job involves
- Amplify is seeking enthusiastic interns to join our team this summer to help us build and grow our innovative educational products in a fully remote program. The Amplify Summer Internship program is open to actively enrolled college students with an interest in product marketing and marketing
- Our summer program is a paid internship that runs between six to eight weeks, from mid-June to early/mid-August (June 15 - August 7, 2026). In addition to their job responsibilities, summer interns will be exposed to the larger Amplify culture through participation in product demos, team builder activities, and opportunities to engage with Amplify's Employee Resource Groups, as well as participation in culture and engagement initiatives

- Work with and learn from industry professionals
- Participate in hands-on training in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Attend Product Manager meetings virtually to learn more about Amplify products and services and make impactful contributions to product-related projects
- Gather and analyze competitive intelligence to help identify key differentiators for our literacy suite
- Develop sales enablement materials, such as one-pagers and talking points, that help communicate the value of our products
- Synthesize research findings into clear, professional presentations for internal stakeholders
- Support the creation of messaging frameworks that translate technical product features into benefits for educators
Our take
Since launching as Wireless Generation in the year 2000, before rebranding in 2012 after News Corp acquired the company, Amplify has grown into one of the leading providers of K-12 curricula, assessment and supplemental programs for ELA (English Language Arts), Math and Science.
The EdTech market has been growing rapidly for the last decade and more, and its value is expected to surpass 230 billion by 2030. This growth means that the company has plenty of competition from the likes of Khan Academy and Kaplan Test, but the fact that Amplify is used by around 10 million students puts it in a very strong position.
After a major growth funding round in 2021, Amplify acquired digital math tools developer Desmos. This is in keeping with its commitment to strategically acquire high-performing education companies in order to expand its own tech and product offerings.

Prior to Amplify, she spent 8 years at Tablet Hotels (acquired by Michelin) as the Head of Business Development and Director of the Operating Board.
LaShon Ormond
(CIO)LaShon joined Amplify in 2011 as a Project Manager. While at the company, she's held a number of roles and moved into the role of Chief Impact Officer in 2023.
