Who you are
- Significant experience as an executive leading business development and corporate strategy
- Proven success developing and executing the strategic plan at an organization >$250M; including aligning the BOD and Executive Leadership Team
- Proven ability to lead the post integration merger of a transformational acquisition
- Proven ability to strategically assess and capitalize upon market conditions and trends, including both domestic and international opportunities
- Strong strategic thinker with proven financial modeling, decision support, and tactical execution capabilities
- Extensive financial expertise; working knowledge of merger and acquisition activities including financial evaluations, due diligence, negotiations and closings
- Knowledge of talent acquisition industry and broader talent industry landscape is preferred
- Demonstrated strong critical thinking and expresses ideas clearly, concisely and logically
- Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others and drive business outcomes
What the job involves
- Engage the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Directors on company strategy and performance
- Build and execute a strategy for Corporate Development by analyzing the current state of the business, assessing where we have opportunities to improve, and innovating to ensure predictable, repeatable, and scalable results that attract and delight customers, drive revenue growth and increase profitability
- Act as a key advisor to executive team on critical changes in the competitive landscape, global marketplace and external business environment
- Engage external business and industry experts to learn and influence business strategies, constantly remaining alert and forward-thinking about opportunities and risks in the industry
- Effectively represent iCIMS to external constituents including acquisition targets and investment bankers
- Drive the execution of strategies that grow revenue through acquisitions
- Define pricing & packaging strategy to maximize the value from product portfolio
- Work with internal partners to identify new ideas for strategic investments preparing business cases for board approval
- Lead key strategic initiatives/ projects in support of the strategic plan
- Build and maintain broad-based relationships with industry and professional networks to assist in development initiatives
- Define M&A strategy and oversee the M&A transaction process from identification of potential targets through due diligence to closing the transaction. Provides updates to the Executive Team and the Board throughout the transaction, including updates on the transaction, leading discussions, and providing recommendations to resolve issues
- Responsible for the integration effort of acquisitions, working closely with the department leadership, to ensure a successful merger post acquisition and achievement of post-acquisition milestones
- Consistently ensure that business is conducted with integrity at all times and that behavior aligns with iCIMS policies, procedures, and core competencies
