What the job involves
- As a Fraud Investigator, you’ll be at the heart of our operation – the person customers turn to when they’ve been scammed, misled, or defrauded
- You’ll take ownership of cases from start to finish, working directly with victims to understand what happened, gather evidence, and guide them through the recovery process
- This is a highly varied, fast-paced role that blends investigation, communication, and case management.
- You’ll need to be both analytical and empathetic, tenacious yet reassuring, and comfortable handling sensitive conversations while keeping an eye on performance and outcomes
- In this role you'll:
- Speak with fraud victims, ask the right questions, and get to the heart of each case
- Analyse what’s happened and advise customers on their best options
- Clearly set out the next steps and keep cases moving by chasing information when needed
- Write up concise, high-quality case summaries
- Manage your caseload in a target-driven environment and work closely with the team
- This role is for someone who is commercially minded, empathetic, decisive, naturally inquisitive, and who enjoys operating with autonomy
- Potential progression to Senior Fraud Investigator
