Role
Who you are
- Candidates should already have an elementary understanding of software development, which can be:
- Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent degree from a higher education institution
- Software development course from an apprenticeship and/or vocational training program
- A Codecamp, academy, workshop, or other form of intensive training
- A period of self-taught programming skills
- You are required to have proficiency in English and must be allowed to do 40h/week internship
What the job involves
- You will be onboarded into our Product Development team as an Intern, and, for the 3-month duration of the internship, you will be a fully capacitated team member
- That means you will work on a real financing product with real customers, helping the team reach the Q4 goals
- Developing frontend features on our customer-facing apps! This will expose you to our React stack and will get you to solve problems related to improving our customer's user journey and maximising conversions
- Developing solid backend services! Get a grasp of the Banxware API and write robust endpoints in Typescript. Acquire a holistic view of our workflows and write service integrations with internal and external dependencies
- Feel the empowerment of end-to-end ownership! Live and breathe your product, by being involved in all aspects of the production lifecycle. Get your hands on the CI/CD pipeline, the testing automation, the cloud infrastructure, the live monitoring and the customer feedback

Our take
Banking-as-a-service has allowed revolutionary banking products to offer financial services without the infrastructure of a bank. Furthermore, the development of open banking enacted regulations that would give any business consumer data, to allow fintechs to provide services and products that previously only banks could own. Most notable of these offerings are embedded financial services.
