Compliance Manager, Gemini

• BA/BS degree or international equivalent
• 6+ years of experience in the financial services industry with a focus on KYC, CDD, EDD and other onboarding related functions
• Prior management and training experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail
• Track record of success and results, ideally in a high-growth or entrepreneurial environment
• Flexible mindset and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and assist in various compliance functions as needed
• Previous experience reviewing institutional and business retail account applications, including assessment of customer risk
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to opening new accounts

Desirable

• Oversee day-to-day functions of the Gemini onboarding team
• Provide ongoing KYC, EDD and onboarding training to members of the onboarding team
• Track pending account applications and provide regular updates on completion progress
• Perform quality control on onboarding submissions ensuring accuracy and providing constructive feedback as needed
• Review institutional account applications for approval or escalation
• Draft and/or update internal procedures as needed
• Work cross-functionally with teams across the enterprise to address compliance related issues
• Identify procedural inefficiencies and help develop and drive process improvements
