Role
Who you are
- You have worked in a product role for a minimum of 2 years
- You have proven experience of working closely with engineers, UX designers and commercial stakeholders
- You have contributed to wireframing, testing and delivering product features in the past
- You have analysed data, using tools similar to Mixpanel, Power BI or even MS Excel to get to the desired outcomes
- You love questioning the status quo and challenging ideas or ways of thinking
- You are an excellent communicator and effective at understanding peoples’ perspectives, challenges and needs
- You are comfortable analysing quantitative and qualitative data, as well as interpreting the findings in order to solve hard problems
- You are immersed in the world of technology and curious about the latest developments
- You are excited by the opportunity to quickly move mountains and help students globally
What the job involves
- You will be leading the web platform team. As a member of a small team, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to own features, learn, and engage in meaningful work. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Product and working closely with engineers and UX designers
- You will be leading the Platform (B2B) team - one of our two product teams
- You will be responsible for running day to day product operations, such as outlining user stories and acceptance criteria for features
- You will be analysing problems and tracking product success by diving deep into data and quantitative insight
- You will be collaborating with other teams and departments to inform product work, as well as helping your colleagues to remove blockers

Blackbullion is a digital financial wellbeing platform that streamlines and simplifies the discovery, application, receipt and effective use of student funding. It provides courses to learn financial skills to develop financial confidence and knowledge and empower better decision making. It also helps locate funding for education through university funds, scholarships and bursaries.
The platform uses gamification through data modelling, personalised learning through machine learning and features that use augmented reality. The founder, Vivi Friedgut, spent the early part of her career managing the wealth of high-net-worth families and individuals and it was that work that made her question what could be achieved if financial education became more accessible.
Blackbullion is deployed on campuses across the UK, Australia, and New Zealand and almost 1M students have access. The company is actively trying to widen participation cohorts, especially for first-in-family and marginalised students. Increasingly the platform is forming a major part of university retention strategies and has attracted funding from major future learning investors such as MPA Education and Emerge Education.
