Role
Who you are
- Relevant experience. You have at least 2 year of experience in a similar KYB/Compliance role, ideally within fintech, financial services, or a startup environment. Experience in customer care or business support is a strong plus
- Regulatory knowledge. You’re familiar with AML/CTF frameworks and business onboarding best practices; having an AML/KYB qualification (e.g.: ACAMS, ICA) is a plus
- Analytical mindset. You can spot red flags and inconsistencies, and know how to dig into data to uncover insights
- Language proficiency. You have professional proficiency in both written and verbal English; proficiency in Italian is considered a strong plus

What the job involves
- As a core member of the KYB Team, you’ll play a critical role in enabling smooth onboarding for our business partners, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies
- You will work closely with our Compliance, FinCrime, and Business Operations teams to assess business customers, mitigate risks, and contribute to the growth of our merchant network
- You will be part of the Team based in Barcelona with a strong link with Luxembourg and Milan offices and report to the KYB Team Lead
- Perform business due diligence. Review merchants' and companies' documentation, verify business ownership structures, and ensure timely onboarding of merchants and business partners
- Assess business profiles. Analyze data, ownership, and activity to identify risks or inconsistencies, escalating suspicious cases to the appropriate teams (e.g.: FinCrime)
- Support businesses during onboarding. Provide clear and timely assistance, primarily via email, to guide businesses through the verification and activation process
- Conduct screening and background checks. Use databases such as PEP, sanctions lists, and adverse media to screen company representatives and UBOs (Ultimate Beneficial Owners)
- Evaluate risk levels. Perform in-depth KYB risk assessments and contribute to the design and improvement of risk-based onboarding processes

The company aims to simplify debit and credit payments through physical and digital QR codes, scanned via products or eCommerce links. This streamlines the payment process for both sides of the transaction.
An Italian Unicorn, Satispay has hit significant milestones over a long period of growth. Recent innovations include an entrance into the company benefits sector via its Corporate Meal Vouchers and Fringe Benefits, capturing a 12,000-strong corporate client base and 50,000 individual users.
2024 funding will be channelled into the development of an investment service for its 5 million users, further strengthening its position as the alternative payment network of Europe.
