Who you are
- We are looking for someone who is strategic and inventive, as well as great at tactical implementation and operational excellence
- Our ideal candidate will have experience building and driving Inclusion and Engagement strategy and the demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced creative environment
- Additionally, they will have the ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data, assess legal risk, implement inclusion and engagement best practices and partner closely with HRBPs meet high client expectations
- 10+ years of HR Business Partnering experience working cross functionally in a corporate environment
- 5+ years of experience leveraging people analytics to design and drive HR related programs
- Proven success influencing the senior-most levels of leadership with compelling data-driven storytelling
- Ability to work autonomously, influence leaders, build and implement solutions
- Internal or external consulting experience with client service orientation
- Experience in project/program management
- Excellent written and verbal communications along with presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy
- Strong expertise and understanding of trends impacting DEI programs in the corporate space
- Ability to navigate complexity across various areas, including legal, regulatory and external developments
- Proficiency in people analytics metrics and reporting using tools like Qualtrics and Tableau
- Proven influencing and relationship building skills with internal and external partners and people from various backgrounds
Desirable
- Ideally HRBP/DEI/People Analytics business partner experience
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and programmatically
- Experience working in a high tech, fast-paced, hyper-growth environment is a plus
- Willing to flex and wear multiple hats
- MA or PhD, or alternative certifications in Organizational Psychology, Economics, or Science
What the job involves
- We’re looking for an exceptional Inclusion and Engagement Partner to join us in building and scaling our people initiatives
- We’re a small team working earnestly to build a diverse and inclusive culture at Dropbox
- You will be responsible for the long-term planning and execution of strategic inclusion and engagement initiatives for our EPD Teams
- You will serve as a champion, strategic partner, and thought leader in the inclusion and employee engagement space by staying informed of best practices, benchmarks, competitors and developing relevant approaches that are aligned with Dropbox’s purpose, principles and values
- You will be a crucial partner to business leaders, our human resource business partners (HRBPs) and the recruiting team
- Own and drive the implementation of a tailored Inclusion and engagement strategy for EPD Teams including, but not limited to, the integration of inclusion into core people and business processes
- Collaborate with business leaders to provide guidance on evolving trends in diversity, equity, and inclusion and to recommend adjustments in recruitment, development, and retention strategies accordingly
- Develop and maintain people metrics and dashboards to measure
- Support leaders in implementing inclusion and engagement programs
- Partner closely with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Communications, Legal, People Analytics and other internal stakeholders
- Create programs and initiatives to drive engagement and retention of variousunderrepresented groups in EPD
- Partner with business leadership to build bespoke Inclusion and engagement plans that achieves maximum outcomes and results based on the needs of the EPD teams
- Partner with Communications team to create a plan to build awareness and visibility to progress and programs in EPD
- Develop and maintain metrics and dashboard to measure initiatives
- Share people-specific updates at meetings and All Hands as applicable
- Support team operations and special projects as needed
- Leverage Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to support EPD inclusion and engagement strategy as applicable
- Serve as an advocate for all Dropboxers and the various communities that make Dropbox a great place to work
Our take
Dropbox started by helping people bring together their files in one central place. The contents of these folders are synchronised to Dropbox's servers along with other computers and devices where the user has installed Dropbox, keeping the same files up-to-date across all devices.
Nowadays, there are lots of competing companies in cloud storage, and some with better distribution (e.g. Google and Apple). This explains why Dropbox is making a big push to reinvent itself after a fairly disappointing run since its IPO in 2018. The new Dropbox turns folders into "Spaces", which are collaboration hubs for teams, complete with comment streams, artificial intelligence tools and integrations into services such as Slack.
The company continues to build out its offerings through acquisitions, such as that of Formswift, bolstering its end-to-end agreement workflow capabilities. Indeed, It's very clear that Dropbox is trying to make a big move from being just a storage company. This seems to be a necessary move given the competitive nature of the industry it is operating within.
