Who you are

3+ years of experience building and maintaining software in Ruby language
Experience integrating third-party services and RESTful APIs
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent data analysis skills
Able to make pragmatic decisions in complex, ambiguous situations
Good written and verbal communication in English

What the job involves

As a Ruby developer in the Integrations team, you will bridge the gap between app development and customer support
This role focuses heavily on maintenance
Our users are able to pull the financial data from over 900 exchanges, wallets and blockchains, and the list keeps growing
A significant effort is required to provide a good user experience on such a scale
The role may have occasional on-call responsibilities
Reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems under an SLA
Develop new integrations and improve the quality of the existing ones
Monitor and resolve application errors
Add support for new data formats
Provide technical expertise to colleagues from customer support team

The nature of the assets leads to constant price fluctuations and trading of many cryptocurrencies spread across multiple wallets, and its decentralised nature makes this activity difficult to track and analyse for tax calculations.

Koinly provides a tax management platform for cryptocurrency traders, allowing users to import cryptocurrency transaction records directly from ledgers, and aggregate it all into a tax report. The platform also helps users to track their portfolios, ROI, and capital gains within a minimalist dashboard, helping them to identify how to reduce taxes for the next year.

Many different cryptocurrency platforms aim to help traders analyse markets and make smart investment decisions, but the complications of tax reporting for crypto remain untackled. Koinly has recognised this gap in the market, claiming that its platform helps reduce the amount of time and money it takes to produce a crypto earning tax report, whilst identifying tax issues and ultimately ensuring compliance.
