Role
Who you are
- You have 4+ years experience working in Product Management roles - ideally with 2+ years in Fintech specifically. Experience in B2B SaaS or Investments and Trading is a big plus
- Understanding of and a focus on B2B clients’ and their users’ needs and how to delight them with beautiful, intuitive investing experiences. You have a clear bias for impact and speed in product discovery and delivery
- Be a sponge! We don’t need you to be a Trading expert, but you will need to be able to absorb knowledge on complex topics quickly and combine with your expertise on product management best practices
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to break down complex concepts into easily consumable ideas, clear project phases and tangible, (client-) value generating product increments
- Experience with common product manager’s toolkits - such as product discovery and documentation software (e.g., Linear, Slite, Miro, Figma etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
What the job involves
- As Upvest enters the next stage of growth, we are looking for an exceptional Senior Product Manager -Trading. You will work directly with Mislav Ilich, Christian Wöhlke and Pim Hannay owning topics critical to Upvest’s success:
- Your ownership and development of our key trading flows will empower millions of users to trade and invest; our order management and fractional trading are the core of our product
- We process millions of euros worth of orders. You’ll be responsible for matching the scale and ambition of our clients, taking these numbers to new heights
- You’ll expand the definition of trading and investing by opening up access to new asset classes, enabling innovative experiences and use cases for millions of users across Europe
- Autonomy coupled with inspirational leadership: When we say empowered teams we mean it. In this role you will fully own product success with your team - with your manager and senior leadership ready to support you at all times
- Product-centricity throughout the organisation: At Upvest we highly value the importance of product and our Product team’s work. No struggle for relevance that product people may encounter elsewhere
- Product Engineering culture: Teams are working together guided by joint OKRs and a clear roadmap. Collaborate closely with your engineering counterparts to deliver client value in a decoupled and dynamic manner

Our take
Upvest is a fintech startup that empowers financial services companies to provide their customers with access to a full range of financial assets, including stocks, ETFs and crypto products. Upvest's investment API integrates seamlessly with its customers existing systems and is designed to scale easily, freeing companies from the need to develop their own brokerage and custody infrastructure from scratch.
As one of the few companies in Germany that is licensed for both the custody of traditional securities and crypto, Upvest is able to provide its services across Europe. Its solution has been readily adopted by some major players in the space including Ginmon, Vivid and ABN AMRO.
Upvest is backed by a number of Europe's largest tech VCs (Earlybird, Notion Capital, Partech, HV Capital, ABN AMRO Ventures) alongside American investment monolith BlackRock. In 2023, it closed a VC investment round, which the company has claimed is one of the largest in the German fintech arena. This was followed up by an impressive Series C at the end of 2024, which is being used to grow its team, enhance its product and cement its presence in the UK.
