Role
Who you are
- Education: Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology, information systems, networking or related fields
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as an IT support staff member
- Experience supporting hybrid environments with both Windows and MacOS systems
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 Suite, Exchange, Teams, OneDrive and Intune environments
- Working knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security
- Excellent technical and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment
- A positive attitude, with a customer service-oriented approach and a passion for working with people
- Ability to earn trust and maintain positive and professional relationships
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum
Desirable
- Familiar with Agile project management software and processes (Atlassian suite, Trello, etc.)
- Experience with on-premises server and database management
- Ability to set up automated workflows as scheduled scripts or batch jobs
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Javascript, Python, Ansible, etc.)
- Experience developing integrations via webhook or REST API
- Previous experience with NIST 800-171 or other government security focused standard
What the job involves
- As an IT Support Technician, you will apply your skills to service and maintain a broad collection of IT systems while increasing our operational efficiency
- We are looking for our support staff members to apply their technical expertise, problem solving skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact the future of energy!
- Provide IT Help Desk support and assistance for all members at Xcimer
- Setup, configure and maintain machines and workspaces for employees
- Assist administrators with troubleshooting and resolving IT incidents involving both hardware and software
- Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of critical IT infrastructure including network stacks, data centers, cloud servers and enterprise software systems
- Develop training documentation and material to facilitate IT policies and onboard new hires
- Document, categorize, and prioritize IT issues to ensure efficient escalation to senior IT personnel when necessary Enforce security policies and collaborate on their development and implementation
- Work closely with software and hardware engineering teams to ensure smooth operations
