Role
Who you are
- A Staff level Frontend Engineer with at least 8 years of experience focusing on web and mobile development
- Experienced in React & React Native
- Experienced facilitating proper implementation of new features
- Passionate about establishing best practices and ensuring they are followed for maintainability and scalability
- A team-player who cares about supporting and developing their teammates
- A leader with experience mentoring and/or leading a team of developers
What the job involves
- Provide guidance on best practices for frontend development
- Help migrate legacy code to a modern framework
- Expand coverage of our unit test suites
- Manage and/or mentor Mid/Jr developers on the team
- Assume a technical leadership role on the team and provide support for the team through your deep technical knowledge
- As a technical leader on the team, you will also work directly with the other Engineering and Product partners on project management activities such as planning, technical strategy, quality, customer testing and delivery, with the ultimate goal of delivering products that our customers love
Our take
TickPick is a live events ticket marketplace that differentiates itself by not including any extra fees, reducing the total price of a ticket for consumers. While the company has been around since 2011, it has come increasingly under the spotlight in the last few years as live event ticket prices escalate, often pricing average earners out of attending.
The company was initially founded as a ticket resale platform, however as its reputation has grown, so too has its partnership base, with it now selling tickets directly for the likes of Firefly Music Festival and Sports Illustrated Saturday Night Lights.
TickPick closed a major funding round in 2024, giving it the fuel to scale up. Adding to this momentum, it also snapped up Fanimal (another ticketing platform) and secured an exclusive partnership with LaLiga as their official ticketing platform across North America. With fresh capital, a growing footprint, and a major league in its corner, TickPick is setting the stage for a future of success.
