Role
Who you are
- Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc
- Proficiency with design systems and the ability to create and maintain design guidelines
- Strong data visualization skills: The designer should have experience in designing charts and graphs that clearly and effectively display complex data sets
- Familiarity with data visualization and charting libraries such as D3.js, Highcharts, etc is a plus
- Familiarity with GIS software in general, with emphasis in map design/cartography
What the job involves
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers to ensure the design solutions meet user needs and business objectives
- Conduct user research to understand user behaviours, needs, and pain points
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that are visually appealing and intuitive for users
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to communicate design concepts and user flows to stakeholders
- Drive overall design coherence by providing interaction and visual design guidance and reviews, engaging in continuous collaboration with the whole team
- Scope and prioritize work across multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced team environment
