Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will take a leading role in designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated PHP-based software applications, using advanced frameworks like Symfony and Doctrine
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in PHP development, with proven expertise in Symfony
- Proficiency in advanced SQL concepts and experience with MySQL and other ANSI SQL dialects
- Solid understanding of software design principles, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and object-oriented programming (OOP)
- Experience in using Docker for development and production environments, including container creation and management
- Strong knowledge of Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools
- Familiarity with async programming, distributed computing, and queue systems for optimized backend operations
- Proven track record of building scalable, secure, and maintainable PHP applications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear documentation and effective teamwork
- A proactive approach to learning new technologies and staying updated with industry trends
- Strong time management skills to juggle multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities effectively
What the job involves
- A highly skilled and experienced Senior PHP Developer to join our innovative and collaborative team
- This role requires close collaboration with various engineering teams, product stakeholders, and technical experts to ensure our software solutions meet business objectives and uphold high standards of performance
- Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications using PHP and related frameworks, with a focus on Symfony
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and understand requirements, translating them into effective software solutions
- Contribute to code reviews to uphold high coding standards and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects, ensuring efficient, effective solutions
- Develop and integrate APIs for communication with other systems and services
- Emphasize performance, scalability, and reliability in software design and implementation
- Ensure application security by integrating best practices for data integrity, confidentiality, and availability
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end components
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications and user manuals
- Develop and maintain Docker containers for consistent and reliable deployment across development and production environments
- Research and recommend new tools and technologies to improve development workflows and software quality
