Role
Who you are
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a field related to Business, Management, Administration, Communications, Environmental Science and/or Policy; OR:
- You study Business Economics, Finance, Finance, Engineering, Environmental studies or related and are passionate about Sustainability and ESG issues
- You have excellent collaboration skills with a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus
- You are very well organized and detail oriented, and able to work in a busy, international environment
- You have a high degree of comfort using common software packages and online tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint). Experience using design software/editing tools, Wordpress, CSS, Canva and Adobe Suite is a plus
- You have the ability to work in the Netherlands
What the job involves
- We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic intern to join our small marketing, events and communications team
- Your role will provide you with a broad range of marketing and communications experience and help you develop your professional skills and competencies
- Supporting project management and assisting with content creation, including drafting copy and creating design collateral for the organization’s social media channels
- Supporting the development of GRESB newsletters, including assisting with content curation and uploading content to our automated email marketing software
- Working with the Content Manager and GRESB Partners on the publication and management of content for our GRESB Insights blog
- Supporting the development of content for our website, digital marketing, and email marketing campaigns
- The candidates will ideally be able to start as soon as possible for a period of 6 months
Our take
The international community has set a target for net zero emissions by 2050, but to make that happen, businesses need reliable data on environmental, social and governance (ESG) metrics. GRESB was founded in 2009 to provide ESG data on business assets based on self-reported data and has since become regarded as the gold standard for investment managers to assess their ESG performance.
GRESB is the only ESG framework specifically designed for real estate, and it has earned widespread adoption within the industry. The platform now covers over $8T in assets - more than double the amount reported in 2019 - solidifying its reputation as an essential tool for investment managers. This growth reflects the growing emphasis on sustainability in real estate investment and the increasing demand for transparent, reliable ESG data.
The company continues to evolve its ESG model to better serve its users. Recent moves include the acquisition of companies like Asset Resolution, which develops tools for acquiring data from hard-to-measure sectors. Alongside this, the company has substantial funding which will help it further enhance its offerings and play a critical role in the transition to a sustainable, net-zero economy.
