Who you are
- Proven hands-on experience as a Data Scientist in a customer-focused organization actively engaging in data-driven initiatives and projects
- Strong proficiency in Python and along with expertise in utilizing the Hadoop ecosystem and standard tools such as Git, bash, and SQL to tackle data-related tasks and analyses
- Hands-on involvement in handling the complete lifecycle of Machine Learning models, including tasks such as data labeling, training, and ongoing maintenance
- Strong business and product understanding. Redefining ambiguous questions into well-defined analyses and success metrics that drive impactful business decisions
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration and alignment
- Proficiency in Machine Learning, statistical modeling, and data mining
- Leadership in driving technical projects and delivering successful results
- Advocate for building a diverse and hard-working team
- Mental and Physical Demands:
- Frequent communication with others to exchange information
- Frequent sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing; Time of each will vary

- The mission of the Customer Data Science team at Getty Images Inc. is to gain a deep understanding of our customers - who they are, how they use our products and content, and the reasons behind their usage
- Seeking an expert Data Scientist to provide data strategy and address sophisticated business and technical problems
- Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow data scientists and analysts
- Involved in establishing and leading all aspects of new initiatives from design to implementation and release
- Skilled in mentoring and coaching team and optimally communicating analytical and technical methods to Business teams and Leadership
- Solve problems and find opportunities across Marketing, Customer Success, Customer Service, Sales, and Product
- Collaborate with business partners and engineering managers to implement suitable solutions that serve the business roadmap
- Coach and mentor team members and assist in guiding the development and implementation of engineering standard methodologies
- Delve into extensive data analysis to solve business inquiries, such as resolving prioritization of new customer segments to drive revenue growth and conduct deep strategic analysis to address business inquiries and bring data-driven approaches
- Define success metrics for various teams such as Sales, Service and Ecommerce teams and construct dashboards for tracking (e.g., supervising conversion data for different customer segments, measuring renewal rates of subscription products)
- Evaluate potential opportunities such as expansion into new markets to optimize customer service solutions and articulate practical analysis that aid teams in identifying areas for improvement and investment
- Construct ML models, encompassing the design of success metrics, key features, and evaluation strategies
- Partner with Marketing and Product teams to craft measurement plans, offer mentorship on standard methodologies for experimentation and accelerate drive decision-making through experimentation and causal inference techniques
- Lead and guide the work scope of data scientists within the same domain, exemplifying high-quality output for both you and your team. Provide ongoing and constructive feedback, acknowledging individual strengths and contributions while seeing opportunities for performance improvement
