Role
Who you are
- Experience: You have 6+ years of experience in sales-related roles (ideally within investments, banking or wealth), ideally within a B2B set up and with API-based products
- Industry Exposure: You have previous experience within and strong interest into investments, securities trading and software-/infrastructure-as-a-service products (e.g., BaaS)
- Leadership Skills: You have demonstrated people leadership skills, are able to communicate well with different stakeholder groups, and are not afraid to challenge assumptions internally or externally
- Negotiation Skills: Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to create trust, effectively handle objections and present compelling pitches
- Sales Methodologies: Demonstrated expertise with B2B sales methodologies, such as solution/consultative selling as well as practical application of industry best practices (e.g. MEDDPICC framework)
- Project Management: Hands-on, proactive ownership of complex projects, including reliable client communication and diligent internal documentation
- Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the investment industry, its current trends and competitive landscape
- Professional Network: Strong professional network in the investment industry
- Location Preference: Preference for candidates located in Berlin and fluent in English and German (written and verbal)

- The Growth team at Upvest is driving our go-to-market activities, spanning across Marketing, Sales and Customer Success.
- Our mission is to become the Investment-as-a-service category leader for Europe's leading brokers, banks, wealth managers, and non-financial platforms. We're honoured to work with some of Europe's leading brands in a fast moving and expanding market already and are just getting started
- Enterprise GTM Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market/sales strategy that enables Upvest to expand its foothold with digital financial players
- Ownership Enterprise Funnel: Own the cross-functional sales cycle until contract closing to meet or exceed your own and your team’s sales targets
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a team of Account Executives, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure an excellent sales process for our clients
- Process Improvement and Material Development: Develop compelling sales materials and pitches that communicate the Upvest value proposition effectively
- Sales Targets and Performance Tracking: Set sales team targets for the Enterprise team and develop reliable weekly, monthly, and annual sales performance and pipeline reports
- Process Improvement: Contribute to our sales enablement efforts and process improvement by sharing client insights constantly
Our take
Upvest is a fintech startup that empowers financial services companies to provide their customers with access to a full range of financial assets, including stocks, ETFs and crypto products. Upvest's investment API integrates seamlessly with its customers existing systems and is designed to scale easily, freeing companies from the need to develop their own brokerage and custody infrastructure from scratch.
As one of the few companies in Germany that is licensed for both the custody of traditional securities and crypto, Upvest is able to provide its services across Europe. Its solution has been readily adopted by some major players in the space including Ginmon, Vivid and ABN AMRO.
Upvest is backed by a number of Europe's largest tech VCs (Earlybird, Notion Capital, Partech, HV Capital, ABN AMRO Ventures) alongside American investment monolith BlackRock. In 2023 it closed a VC investment round which the company has claimed is one of the largest in the German fintech arena. Its impressive capital raise will go some way to achieving Upvest's goals of profitability as it expands into the US market.
