Who you are

Interested in commencing or pursuing a career in accounting and/or finance (no prior experience required but would be beneficial)
Eager to learn, curious and comfortable asking questions
Enjoy solving problems, with a keen eye for detail

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work from the Feedr HQ office in Old Street every week (days/hours to be confirmed; we are in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
Have the right to work in the UK
Passionate about food and the industry!

Desirable

Exposure to accounting and/or finance, e.g. from working in a finance team or completing university modules
A basic understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and/or VAT
Experience using Xero or similar software packages
An understanding of German and/or Dutch is an additional advantage

What the job involves

Be the first point of contact for external and internal queries via email, telephone and Slack
Maintain accounting records across Feedr’s European entities using Xero and other software tools (upload customer invoices, review and publish supplier invoices, reconcile bank transactions)
Generate customer and supplier invoices at the end of each month
Process customer refunds
Assist with credit control processes, such as generating and reviewing customer statements
Attend finance team and cross-functional meetings

Acknowledging that the B2B food delivery market has fallen way behind B2C in terms of digitisation, Feedr is targeting an estimated £4.7bn contract catering market. Adopting a B2B2C model, Feedr attracts companies to sign up and subsidises the meals their staff order as an additional perk to boost employee well-being. This also forms part of the company’s talent recruitment and retention strategy.

In addition, Feedr differentiates itself by curating a set of tailored menus based on the user’s order history, aiming to elevate the quality of breakfast, lunch and dinner orders. On top of that, the restaurants and caterers Feedr works with are low-impact on the planet and quality-assured by the company.

Feedr started off operating in London, and after being acquired by Berlin company EatFirst, is ready to expand its service to new geographical areas. Though it's working against a crowded B2C market, Feedr is the only B2B2C model food provider, a low-admin, hassle-free alternative for busy companies. And its partnership with EatFirst will no doubt elevate its presence as it looks to expand.
