Role
Who you are
- 4+ years of experience in digital marketing or paid media management at an eCommerce company
- At least 1 year of direct experience managing TikTok channel, with strong understanding of advertising tools, audience targeting, and content formats
- Proven track record of running successful campaigns, driving customer acquisition, and achieving measurable business outcomes
- Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Google Analytics, TikTok Ads Manager, and other performance tracking platforms
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with creative, data, and marketing teams
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Manager of Paid Media to join our Customer Acquisition team
- This specific role will be focused on leading our TikTok channel
- This role will own the end-to-end management of the TikTok channel, from developing campaign strategies to performance analysis and ongoing optimization
- You will work closely with the Creative & Marketing Insights teams to deliver high-performing campaigns that drive customer acquisition, brand awareness, and overall growth for Ruggable
- Develop and execute a comprehensive TikTok paid media strategy that aligns with Ruggable’s overall marketing objectives
- Identify growth opportunities and explore new tactics for expanding reach and improving performance on the platform
- Stay ahead of TikTok trends and platform updates to leverage new features and ad formats effectively
- Manage and optimize TikTok campaigns, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs) such as incremental return on ad spend (iROAS), and cost per action (CPA)
- Conduct A/B testing and implement iterative improvements to creative and targeting strategies
- Monitor day-to-day campaign performance and make data-driven decisions to drive budget allocation, targeting, and bid strategic decision
- Track, analyze, and report on TikTok campaign performance and overall channel effectiveness
- Partner with the Growth Creative lead, Creative resources, and any external agencies to develop engaging and on-brand ad creatives tailored for TikTok’s format and audience
- Ensure that creative aligns with campaign objectives and resonates with Ruggable’s target customer
- Analyze creative performance and collaborate with the team to iterate and improve creative assets based on insights
Our take
Whilst rugs are a staple of interior design and home energy efficiency, they have historically proven a tough solution for people with kids, pets, or messy lifestyles. So Ruggable’s washable, spill-proof rug solution would have come as a welcome innovation when the company launched just over a decade ago. The product consists of a heavier duty base, and a decorative ‘rug layer’ on top, and Ruggable has been consistently expanding the design range of this product ever since.
One obstacle Ruggable will face is that washable materials have developed enough in the decade since Ruggable was founded to allow competitors to gather speed with simpler products. Brands including home design giant Dunelm, for example, offer rugs that are fully washable, without having to separate out the pieces.
Where Ruggable is certainly strong is branding. The company has done well to get products trending, with a successful focus on bloggers and major news outlets. Excellent reviews and superior product exposure are strong keys to success, especially in a period where DTC sales are king.
