Our take
In the face of increasing concern for climate change and the activities that contribute to it, Climate Arc was founded to focus on creating tools and partnerships to decarbonise the economy - including rankings for companies' climate transition plans.
Ultimately, Climate Arcs aims to channel philanthropic funding to NGOs and projects that are deemed to significantly contribute to to decarbonisation of the economy. The company, in consulting with other organisations, leverages a science-based approach and stands as an advocate for net-zero actions.
Climate Arc's credibility is further enhanced by the founder's long-time professional commitment to climate-focused investments and strategy, as well as an association with the Children's Investment Fund Foundation. Nevertheless, it will take a few years before one can know how much of an impact Climate Arc will have in this space, but it certainly has a mountain of potential.
