Staff Accountant, Aura

• 2-3 years of general accounting experience; technology industry experience a plus
• Advanced Excel skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills – ability to identify discrepancies, determine a resolution, and communicate effectively
• Strong communication skills – ability to work collaboratively with finance, operations, and other business partners
• BS in Accounting, Finance, or other related fields

• We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented team player to join Aura’s finance team
• This staff accountant will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to contribute towards the accurate and timely reporting of transactions across various critical areas of the business
• Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting
• Calculate, prepare, and record journal entries, in various currencies, including expense accruals entries, prepaid and related amortization entries, cash and investment entries, and more
• Maintain fixed asset and intangibles ledgers, rollforwards, and prepare related accounting entries, inclusive of capitalized software balances
• Accurate and timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts inclusive of accrued, prepaid, cash, fixed and intangible asset balances, among others. Identify, evaluate, and propose adjustments for accounting discrepancies
• Review and analyze period over period income statement and balance sheet account balances for reporting purposes and to further identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Support accounts payable function through thorough review and approval of invoices for appropriate coding
• Participate in and support the annual audit process
