Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in marketing and social media
- A strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
- Collaborative and clear ability to work cross functionally
- Adaptable and a team player
- High growth startup experience is a plus
- Must have an excellent understanding and knowledge of each social media platform from a brand marketing perspective, including platform updates, paid media formats, corresponding rules/laws, changing offerings, news, analytics, and reporting tools across desktop and mobile
- Basic photo and video editing skills
- High level of written communication
- Must have experience in brand communication strategy on social media
- In-depth experience with content marketing with keen eye for brand codes and tone of voice
- Must have experience working cross-functionally and with agencies to develop campaigns and content that engage and create increased interest in the brand
- Experience in working on multiple markets
- Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude
- The right candidate is a storyteller who will strengthen and support our community and advocate for our brands and retailers across social channels
- The ideal candidate will know social platforms inside and out and have a love for independent retail
What the job involves
- Manage our UK pages (insta facebook…)
- Developing and implementing social media strategies with the aim of increasing brand awareness and customer engagement
- Owning and developing the email marketing & social media strategy and calendar
- Drive social content strategy for UK campaigns spanning tentpole, brand and product animations
- Execute social media campaigns including ideation, launch, monitoring, and analysis with support from creative agencies and internal teams
- Analyse competitor activity
- Respond and moderate all comments and replies across our main social media channels
- Monitor and apply learnings for the ongoing development of global platforms on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and others
- Managing a budget to be spent on promoting social media posts and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising
- Tracking and analysing social media analytics
- Creating editorial content for social distribution, in line with brand identity across all existing and new channels
- You will develop a social content calendar to engage with our users through brand and product campaigns
- As an expert on social trends, metrics, and content creation for social platforms, you should have an eye on the European marketplace and understanding of social content that resonates
