Who you are
- 10+ years in marketing leadership roles
- Proven community builder, including face-to-face events
- Built a consumer brand through events, community, and digital marketing
- Led content and creator-focused social media marketing
- Experience designing and managing marketing analytics strategy
- Experience leading creative direction & managing a creative team
- Strong instinct for consumer-facing content creation
- Background in event planning, execution, and marketing
- Love of and passion for the arts and supporting artists
- Ideally would have experience in the design / home goods industry
What the job involves
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plan
- Build a highly engaged community of art collectors who repeatedly buy from the platform
- Crystalize the brand identity and voice to reflect the company’s strategy, create core messages, and ensure their reflection in all aspects of the company’s external communication
- Build out and manage marketing team
- Develop customer archetype and targeting strategy
- Work with media, brand, and agency partners to secure editorial and product coverage across digital and print
- Create promotional materials such as emails, social media posts, and invitations
- Write copy such as emails, social media posts, invitations, run of show for events, website copy, and PR materials
- Brainstorm and implement creative ways to engage a non-crypto native audience and contextualize digital art in the physical world
- Manage in-person and virtual events to promote each collection release
- Talent management — securing event participation from our Founding Partners and other leaders in art and design
- Design strategy for collector onboarding and retention, tracking and optimizing lifetime value
- Track relevant metrics using analytics tools and report campaign performance
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to optimize site performance and create a cohesive brand experience for customers
- Work with our business operations team to project manage events and marketing
- Fluency in Google Apps, analytics tools, and communication technologies to facilitate planning, collaboration, and project management
Our take
NFTs have become a large talking point within the fine art world, with many arguing that crypto and blockchain technology creates legal challenges surrounding ownership and citing intellectual property and regulatory problems when transferring real-world art into the digital space. Tonic aim to be just that, a tonic for those worried about the increasing interconnectivity of digital and real-world art.
Through Tonic’s digital galleries and generative art exhibitions, the company aims to provide crypto and non-crypto natives with a safe space in which to learn about, trade, and collect fine art NFTs. Using a web interface not unlike traditional commerce websites, Tonic is closing the gap between the two worlds, hosting digital exhibitions and auctions that help to expand awareness of contemporary artists and provide a new way for buyers to enter the art market.
Though a small and young company, Tonic has raised respectable funding and will use it to expand its client base and reach more artists for collaboration.
