Technical Lead, CHAOS Industries

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in professional, object-oriented software development
• Experience with Python, SQL data warehouses, and no-SQL systems
• Experience building, testing, and supporting major systems in production
• Experience building or maintaining data pipelines or workflows in Palantir Foundry or other enterprise data platforms

• CHAOS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team supporting our product engineering
• This is a highly collaborative role which will allow you to wear multiple hats and work very closely with our product
• As a member of our engineering team, you will also have the opportunity to expand your skillset across our product line
• A key aspect of this role will be leveraging Palantir Foundry as CHAOS's internal data operating platform - building, maintaining, and optimizing end-to-end workflows and pipelines that manage sensor, operational, and enterprise data across the company
• You will work across teams to ensure our data infrastructure and workflows are reliable, scalable, and directly enable mission outcomes
• This role will be central to delivering the CHAOS Operating System in Foundry - a unified data backbone that connects engineering, operations, and manufacturing
• Design and build Foundry-based pipelines and workflows, enabling ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data for both engineering and operational users
• Define major parts of our data and backend architecture, including choice of frameworks and systems
• Build and maintain our data infrastructure, real-time data processing, data transportation, and backend services
• Collaborate closely with product, system, software, and hardware engineers to integrate data flows into mission workflows
• Mentor other engineers as the team grows, and work with engineering leadership to define longer term roadmaps
• Work 3+ days per week out of our office in San Francisco (Market Street) or Los Angeles (Hawthorne)
